(Photo : File photo) Charging the battery of your gadgets always is a problem and takes a while. But new researchpublished by Nanyang Technological University promise a battery that can recharge almost full in two minutes.
Different people have different preferences, some like a smartphone that looks nice, others want a certain operating system, others just want something that has their essential apps with a nice price tag.
Battery life is often an overlooked feature on smartphones, but with newer phones potentially having two full days of usage, it is worth making sure your phone can withstand a full day of heavy usage, without dying in the middle of the day.

We take a look at five of the top phones to keep running, no matter what you do.
Xperia Z3
Sony has always been a good provider when it comes to battery life - the Xperia Z1 and Z2 both had over 10 hours of screen-on time, and the Xperia Z3 tops both of them. It is rated as the best smartphone for battery life in the world.
In normal everyday use, opening a few apps, making a few calls, watching a YouTube video, playing music, the Xperia Z3 will last a full day, and still have a good 40 percent left. This phone is a beast when it comes to staying alive and providing enough battery life to get through the day.
Other good features on the Xperia Z3 include an excellent display, high performance, a light Android skin that isn't intrusive or annoying and water-resistant build. It should definitely be your number one consideration if battery life is important.
Huawei Ascend Mate 2
Huawei likes to create devices for everyone, similar to Samsung. Some have very thin profiles and excellent performance, others have large displays and incredible battery life. The Ascend Mate 2 falls into the latter, with a good two days of battery life under moderate use.
The Ascend Mate 2 is not everyones smartphone, it has a 6.1-inch display and hard to hold in one hand. What we can say is for $299 off contract, this is the cheapest Android smartphone to provide over one day battery life, and performance isn't bad either.
Samsung Galaxy Note 3
Speaking of huge phones, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is another large beast of a phone that has an impressive battery life. There are conflicting reports, some say it lasts only one day, while others claim they can get a good two to three days out of the device.
If you tend to use your smartphone every few minutes, the Galaxy Note 3 will get you through the day and perhaps until lunchtime the next day. This is where Samsung steps past the Xperia Z3, with the removable back, users can simply stick their second battery inside the Galaxy Note 3 and have another day of battery life.
OnePlus One
Another Chinese export, this time from mysterious startup OnePlus. The OnePlus One might be the most infamous smartphone in the Android forums, with odd campaigns and invite systems, but there is no arguing it is one of the best phones on the planet.
The performance is excellent, design is gorgeous, screen is sharp and the battery life is overwhelmingly positive, with a good day of battery life available. OnePlus doesn't offer a spare battery, like the Galaxy Note 3, but it also costs $200 less than the phablet.
Nokia Lumia 1520
Nokia are the Kings of durability and battery life, their old brick phones would last for almost a month without charge and could take a swim in a lake, fall of a cliff, and live to tell the tale. The current Lumia 1520 isn't too bad either, it is thick and has a large screen, but it is not flimsy like some other phones on the market.
In terms of battery life, the Nokia Lumia 1520 is a killer. It lasts for a good day without the need to charge and with moderate use, this phone can last for two to three days.
