China has tested a new long-range missile weapon system that has the ability to hit any city in the United States, a US report said.
The report added the test of a missile named the DF-41 was carried out on Saturday, which was reportedly successful for a weapon that has the capability to carry several warheads.

Unidentified officials were quoted as saying the test did take place, but they could not confirm some details of the test, such as the number of dummy warheads used.
Experts said the new mobile intercontinental ballistic missile has a range short of 7,500 miles, which puts the entire US in danger. A US China Economic and Security Review Commission report revealed each of the new Chinese long-range missiles can carry up to 10 multiple targetable reentry vehicles.
The commission report said the missile has the potential to overwhelm America's ballistic missile defense systems.
China has an estimated 240 big warheads that could be deployed either for a direct hit or for a blast above a target nation to cause a powerful electromagnetic pulse that could take down all energy sources in the US for a long time.
On the other hand, the US arsenal includes more than 1,600 nuclear warheads, including the US Navy's Trident II missiles, which are launched from a submarine and can deliver up to 14 warheads.
After managing to acquire multiple-warhead technology from the US in the 1990s, China has been building up its capability to fire several nuclear warheads simultaneously. The test on Saturday's of the DF-41 is expected to draw attention of US intelligence groups as it signifies a huge leap in the capability of China to deploy nuclear forces.
The report added China's nuclear forces will clearly and dramatically expand in the next three to five years and become more deadly with the deployment of more road-mobile nuclear weapons, adding China has doggedly pursued a growing counter-space program to meet US superiority in case of a conflict and topple US satellites if necessary.
