A super villain from "The Walking Dead" comic series will soon appear in the TV version.

AMC featured the one-hour long spinoff of "The Walking Dead," "The Talking Dead" Sunday.

Before they ended the talk show special, host Chris Hardwick posed a question to Scott Gimple, producer of "The Walking Dead," asking him if he can confirm rumors about a new villain to appear in the TV series.

"The recent one [rumor] that Jon Hamm was going to play Negan, who is a character coming up, a villain," said Gimple.

Gimple and Hardwick was joined by Aisha Tyler, a fangirl of the show. When Tyler looked at Gimple for further explanation, Gimple immediately said that the villain would be "coming up eventually.

It was reported that Jon Hamm would portray the part of Negan, a character villain who will startle the harmony of the group.

According to series creator Robert Kirkman, Hamm would be the perfect fit for the role.

"I think Jon Hamm would be perfect. I think after 'Mad Men' has run, Jon Hamm is going to have a Tom Hanks level film career, so I don't think he'll be coming back to television anytime soon. Although that would be cool!" said Kirkman

Kirkman also said that he talked to Gimple regarding the casting for Negan. However, fans should not expect for the character to be seen in the near future.

"I wouldn't expect Negan too terribly soon, although he is definitely in the plan," Kirkman told MTV News. "It's a 99% lock that he's going to be in the show eventually, so be on the lookout for that."

Gimple said that the 16 episodes for the 5th season of "The Walking Dead" were already drafted.

The first trailer of season 5 will be released Friday at the San Diego Comic Con.
