CL, the sassy leader of the Korean Pop Group 2NE1, will have her debut album released in the United States. However, CL emphasizes that she will not revamp her image when making her solo debut, according to Xin MSN Entertainment.
"Well, you know my image when I was in 2NE1 and I'm not going to change that. I'm not against being sexy or beautiful or anything, but it's just that I have this, I don't know how to say it. But I have this cool image that I want to keep," says CL, during an interview with Complex Magazine, when she was asked whether she will sex up her image for the American fans in order to be well-recognized.

Scooter Braun, CL's talent manager in the US, also respects her decision as an artist.
"He definitely respects me already as an artist and he love what I've been doing. He just wants to bring me out here and balance it out. I want to represent Asian women in the right way. He wants to support that," CL explains.
Otherwise known as Lee Chae-rin, CL debuted as the leader of the Korean Pop Group 2NE1, along with Sandara Park, Minzy and Bom. She is also very fluent in English, French and Japanese.
CL will soon release her first solo album this coming spring under Scooter Braun's management. Braun has also worked with Gangnam Style singer PSY, CL's label mate. He also made an official announcement in his page, celebrating CL's debut in the American Music Industry.
