Fans Show Grief for Snubbed Shows at the Emmys

While most fans were delighted to see that Game of Thrones and The Big Bang Theory made it to Emmys 2014, not everyone shared the same sentiment.

Much like what the Hannibal fans thought when the show didn't get the recognition they felt it deserved. Hannibal is an NBC psychological thriller based on the Red Dragon by Thomas Harris which focuses on the relationship between FBI investigator Will Graham and Dr. Hannibal Lecter, a forensic psychiatrist.

"Hannibal is critically praised and has a huge fan following. It's time that it got the recognition from the Emmys that it deserves. If anything, it should have been an obvious for outstanding cinematography. The show is a piece of art,'' said fan Tiffany Wilks to Entertainment Weekly.

Another is Walking Dead, the hit show of Fox International Channel that focuses on the life of Rick Grimes and his companions trying to survive a world overrun by zombies. The show started in 2010 and has been running for five years.

''The Walking Dead only had 2 nominations but not in any big categories. The acting and supporting acting along with the makeup and costuming got ignored,'' grieved Lisa Palmer.

Other fans grieved for their favorite actors not getting any nominations such as Pedro Pascal who plays Oberyn Martell in the fourth season of Game of Thrones.

Pascal has been in numerous television series like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the Good Wife, Homeland, The Mentalist and Graceland.

"Pedro Pascal for Game of Thrones: Oberyn 'The Red Viper' Martell was the most interesting, dramatic and sexy male character on TV all year. Acting-wise, Pascal even stole a couple of scenes from Peter Dinklage, which is near-impossible,' fought Strepsi.

Shameless fans also cried a river for Emmy Rossum, who they think should get nominated for Best Actress in a Comedy.

Rosum is known for playing Christine Daee alongside Gerard Butler who plays the Phantom in the 2004 British adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical, The Phantom of the Opera.

"What a performance she [Rosum] gave this season. Two key scenes really stood out. Shame that poor Shameless doesn't get any love or attention, it delivers killer seasons each year," Stan heartbrokenly explained.

Even though most fans were delighted by the Emmys 2014, some just cried in their beds for the fate of their favorite show.
