Anthony Bourdain Spotted At A Fast Food Chain In Philippines

'Parts Unknown' star Anthony Bourdain is widely known for roaming around the world to explore cultures and unique cuisines.

Now, the well-known food critic is back in Manila, the capital city of Philippines, making his first stop in Jollibee, a popular food chain.

Bourdain revealed that he will come back to the country to film an episode for his CNN show 'Parts Unknown', according to a recent interview by Yong Chavez, a news correspondent.

"We'll do better than the last time. To my Filipino fans, we're coming, we're coming back," said Bourdain, expressing his interest to come back to eat his favorite Filipino food such as 'sisig' (fried pig's face and liver) and 'lechon' (roasted pig)

The American chef visited Philippines in 2008 to also film an episode for his former show, 'No Reservations'.

Bourdain made stops to various provinces in the Philippines such as Pampanga and Cebu..

Sightings of Bourdain have been well-documented by fans through photos posted on social media, with the netizens using the hashtag, #WhereinManilaisAnthonyBourdain.

"He asked us to wait for them to finish their dinner for photos. We managed to squeeze in a shot when they were rushing out," said David Hanson Ong, a photographer who spotted Bourdain dining in a Korean Restaurant in Malate, one of Manila's bustling districts.

Alfredo Lupe, another fan, also spotted the 'Parts Unknown' star dining in a Jollibee branch located near the Mall of Asia.

"It looks like he was enjoying his Chickenjoy," said Lupe, who posted a photo in his Facebook page showing Bourdain digging into his 'Jollibee Spaghetti'.

Filipino fans have made waves on Twitter, sending suggestions to the food connoisseur about where his next destination would be. Some even suggested that the American chef stop by their home to try their own home-cooked meals.

"Filipinos are very proud of their food," said Bourdain, in a previous episode of 'Parts Unknown'.

'Parts Unknown' is aired by the CNN Network and has already garnered three Emmy awards and 11 nominations.
