The critically acclaimed drama series Mad Men will air its final season on April 5 via the AMC channel. The network announced it on January 10 that this last season will have 7 episodes to show.

The 7th and final season of the hit TV series that is about the lives of advertising executives in the 60s is officially calling it off this year, after finishing also 7 episodes from last year's mid season. The network decided to wait until April of 2015 to air the last 7 more episodes of the show.

The TV series' executive producer and creator Matthew Weiner told the press that it has been an incredible journey and he takes pride in what the show's team was able to accomplish and create in every episode and season that they have released. On behalf of everybody who works for the show, he did say thank you to the fans who have supported them all this time and hope that it meant so much for them watching it because it meant so much as well to everyone part of the cast and crew.

Mad Men was first released in 2007 and has gained success since then being named as one of the most successful shows in the last 10 years in Hollywood. The critics love the show and it has earned a lot of major awards in the United States and even abroad.

This drama show even won the Emmy's for Outstanding Drama Series more than 3 times and it was acknowledged twice as Best International Show during the British Academy Television Awards.
