It was predicted to be the match of the day - two legends on the Centre Court of Wimbledon, hoping to rewrite history - but it didn't take long before the curtain closed. All it took Serena Williams was an hour and eight minutes to beat her sister Venus in the 4th round of the Wimbledon Championships. The world no. 1 easily dismantled the elder Williams with a score of 6-4 6-3, keeping her Grand Slam history bid alive. read more

John Isner's CV has yet to include a grand slam win. Expectations are high on the 30-year-old being the only American in the top 20. He is, after all, "the hope" since the retirement of Andy Roddick, Andre Agassi and the legend Pete Sampras. It wouldn't be fair to compare Isner to the retired greats, of course, but the good news is, Isner may be on his way to another record-breaking feat. And we're not talking about a grand slam win here. read more
