The 30-year-old native of Atlanta, Georgia inked a deal with the Atlanta Hawks in July after spending three seasons with the Houston Rockets from 2013 to 2016. Howard, who is an eight-time NBA All-Star, was the league's fourth overall top rebounder, averaging 11.8 boards per game.
He was averaging 13.7 points, 1.6 blocked shots, 1.4 assists, and 1.0 steal in 32.1 minutes of playing time during the 2015-16 NBA season. Howard played a total of 71 official matches with the Rockets in his final season with the team.
Howard, who was the 2004 NBA Draft no. 1 pick selected by the Orlando Magic, spent the first 11 years of his professional basketball career as an endorser of German footwear brand Adidas. The two-time NBA blocked shots leader made a switch in late 2015, joining Tony Parker of the San Antonio Spurs, George Hill of the Indiana Pacers, and Matthew Dellavedova of the Cleveland Cavaliers as endorsers of the said Chinese brand.
According to the Slam, there are few details about the materials used, pricing or even a release date of Howard's new signature shoes.
PEAK is a Hong Kong listed company and is believed to have a market capitalization of $1.4 billion.
