Grey's Anatomy season 13 might not be able to answer all the cliffhangers left in the previous episodes, the latest spoilers suggested.

Would Alex Karev (Justin Chambers) finally go to jail because of his numerous cases? Would Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) be the ultimate reason for it?

Back in September, the pediatric surgical doctor was in hot water after not giving a correct reading of a young patient's kidney case. In another scenario, he had to do some case appearance for a second-degree felony attack after a serious encounter with DeLuca (Giacomo Giovanni).

As Grey's Anatomy season 13 is set to premiere anew on Jan. 19 on ABC, fans might have been excited to know if this enormous question would already get an answer.

'Burning' Question May not be Answered Just Yet

According to Wet Paint, the newly-released synopsis for the 13^th season's episode 10 appeared to have nothing in it yet to reveal about Alex's fate. Instead, the medical drama's return would mark the journey of three doctors to the maximum security prison.

Show to Return via a Standalone Episode

With the Grey's Anatomy season 13 returning through a standalone episode, Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson), Arizona Robbins (Jessica Capshaw) and Jo Wilson (Camilla Luddington) would head to the prison for one serious task.

"Bailey, Arizona, and Jo go to a maximum security women's prison to treat a violent, 16-year-old pregnant girl and her unborn baby on the midseason premiere of Grey's Anatomy," the synopsis read.

Guest Cast Members

Grey's Anatomy season 13 would be introducing guest cast members when it comes back. Among them are Jasmin Savoy Brown to play Amanda, Klea Scott for the role of Dr. Eldredge, and Anna Jacoby-Heron to portray Kristen.

Meanwhile, Yibada reported that the new teaser from the network confirmed that Alex will be put to jail "momentarily."
