Chang'e-3 space probe mission is the second phase of country's lunar program that will include orbiting and landing on moon; and safe return to the space centre in southwest China's Xichang Satellite Launch Center.

Earlier, China has successfully completed Chang'e-2 mission in which it had captured a high-resolution full-coverage map of moon that was considered as moon surface's first highest resolution picture published so far in the world.

Chinese authorities on Wednesday announced that the Chang'e-3 lunar landing mission is all set be launched by the end of this year as the probe has now reached at the stage of launch on completion of its research and manufacture period.

China has incorporated best innovative technology in its Chang'e-3 lunar mission as it is the country's first landing mission that carries great risk and it will be an extremely difficult probe for them.

Chang'e-3 will be using a new technology to slow its speed that will allow the Chinese spaceship for soft landing or landing on moon. Its carrier rocket has already completed first trial successfully and the launch pad, control and other ground application systems for lunar mission are set for the launch this year.

China had started the process of designing and manufacturing spacecraft for its third space exploration in March this year and it will carry a lunar rover and other equipments for land surveys, space observations and assessment of living conditions on moon. Reports suggest that China has already started construction of high resolution earth observation system.
