Major U.S. wireless carriers are now offering deals that will let consumers take home the new iPhone 6 for free.
The U.S.' largest wireless carrier, Verizon Communications, said it will let subscribers trade their old iPhone for a free iPhone 6 with a two-year contract.
Consumers who trade iPhone 4, 4s, 5, 5c or 5s in good condition will receive a US$200 gift card to order in advance the iPhone 6 16 GB version.

Sprint said it will meet or beat all competitors' pricing to create the best trade-in values.
It will provide an instant credit in-store and up to US$300 for eligible devices. The wireless carriers will also let customers trade-in up to three phones per line at any time and five in a calendar year.
AT&T will also offer the same deal as Sprint.
T-Mobile, on the other hand, will beat other major carriers' trade-in rates and give customers a US$50 credit, as well.
Wal-Mart is also selling iPhone 6 and 6 Plus for US$20 less than the recommended Apple price of US$199 and US$299 when purchased under a two-year Verizon, AT&T or Sprint mobile contract.
Sprint is copying T-Mobile's offer to reimburse costs to switch carriers. It also unveiled aggressive pricing, including a data-heavy family plan for US$100.
On the upper end are AT&T and Verizon, which have more premium offerings, particularly when it comes to video, along with more premium prices.
Consumers can now buy the iPhone 6 on installment.
