According to hospital spokesperson Mark Rabson, some of the patients had complained about feeling nauseous, light-headed, and a burning sensation in their stomach.

During the call made at around 11:00, the 911 dispatcher took all necessary information about the incident and immediately dubbed the case as a mass casualty emergency, sending five ambulances that took the group to the hospital.

The call also prompted extra doctors and nurses to work with paramedics to make sure the patients are stabilized.

They gave the victims plenty of liquids, especially water, to flush out the toxin instead of inciting them to vomit the poison as "it would burn on the way back up again."

After treatment was made, all of the children and adults have been discharged from the hospital by 3:00 in the afternoon.

According to reports, United Cerebral Palsy of Hudson County Executive Director Keith Kearney runs the day care center.

He stated that the children and adults infected were taken to the hospital for precautionary measures and that there had been no injuries reported.

"We had an incident where one of the staff in the kitchen used the cleaning solution bottle to pour water for some of the children," he explained adding that the reused plastic milk jug's label was not large enough for the incident to have been avoided.

According to reports, the children were having a snack of water and fruit during their recess when one adult noticed a slight smell of bleach and reported it instantaneously.
