A Chinese couple, who made headlines after causing havoc at the Beijing International Airport last week Wednesday, have been given a five-day detention punishment.
The couple had arrived late for their flight because of "personal reasons." They reportedly forced themselves past security and into the apron area as the flight was preparing to take off.

The captain and crew refused to allow the couple to board the Boeing 787 flight and the wife did not take this well.
"She ignored the warnings of the security guards and threatened the crew members on the aircraft to let her and her husband to get onto the plane," airport officials said.
To show her determination to board the flight, the woman staged a protest under the plane and said that she would not leave unless she and her husband are allowed to take their seats.
One eye witness explained how the woman was both emotional and un-cooperative when being addressed.
"When two police officers tried to approach the woman she became really emotional and started crying and waving her hands," the witness said.
The Air China Flight CA 1519 was on its way to Shanghai and was delayed for nearly 20 minutes as the situation was being addressed.
The plane was only able to take off after the husband dragged his wife to a police car. The police drove the couple away.
The couple have been detained for a period between five and are required by the Chinese law to pay a fine of 500 yuan ($75) for disturbing public order.
