As expected, the Philippines' unhinged president, Rodrigo Duterte, reacted violently to criticism by the European Union (EU) of his bloody drug war, repeatedly yelling "Fuck you" at the EU and "flipping the bird' at them in a profanity laden rant.

And, as he did with the Americans, he sneered at the Europeans as murdering colonialists that massacred thousands of their colonized peoples.

In a five-page resolution issued Sept. 15, the EU ordered its delegation in the Philippines and the embassies of its 27 member states to monitor human rights abuses. It urged Duterte "to put an end to the current wave of extrajudicial executions and killings" of drug suspects.

EU lawmakers raised concern about the very high numbers of Filipinos being killed during police operations and by vigilante groups.

The EU urged the Philippine government to investigate abuses "in full compliance with national and international obligations and respect for human rights."

"President Duterte repeatedly urged law enforcement agencies and the public to kill suspected drug traffickers who did not surrender, as well as drug users," said the EU in a resolution.

"President Duterte publicly stated he would not pursue law enforcement officers and citizens who killed drug dealers who resisted arrest."

That number now exceeds 3,500 persons since July 1, said the Philippine National Police (PNP). Some 30 to 40 Filipinos are being killed every day by police and killers the police claim are "vigilantes."

"I read the condemnation of the European Union against me. I will tell them fuck you. You're doing it in atonement for your sins," said Duterte said in a speech at his hometown of Davao City in Mindanao.

He said members of the EU had become strict (about human rights) because they had "guilt feelings" over the atrocities they had committed in the past as colonizers.

He called the Europeans "hypocrites." He said a check of encyclopedias will show what European countries had done. For instance, France and Great Britain had killed Arabs.

"And then the European Union now has the gall to condemn me. I repeat it, fuck you!" he shouted.

Incredibly, Duterte asked whom he was supposed to have killed in the Philippines.

Assuming that the accusations against him were truth, and there were over 1,000 killed in the country, he asked who were the people who were killed?

"Who were they? Criminals? You call it genocide?

How many did they kill?" he said, referring to the Europeans.
