China has once again reiterated that its stance on Kashmir issue remains unchanged.
The Chinese foreign ministry dismissed on Monday the reports from the Pakistan media which claimed that Beijing would support Islamabad in case of any "foreign aggression."
"China's position on the China-India boundary question is consistent and clear," ministry spokesperson Geng Shuang said in a regular press briefing in the Chinese capital.

A press statement by the office of chief minister of Pakistan's largest province Punjab on Sunday quoted a senior Chinese diplomat saying that Beijing would take Islamabad's side in case of any "foreign aggression."
"In case of any (foreign) aggression, our country will extend its full support to Pakistan," the statement quoted China's Lahore consul general Yu Boren as saying. "We are and will be siding with Pakistan on the Kashmir issue."
The foreign ministry spokesperson, however, said he was not aware of Boren's remarks. He also made it clear that China's position on Kashmir issue remains unchanged.
"I am not aware of the situation you mentioned," Shuang said. "As a neighbor and friend to both Pakistan and India, we hope the two countries will properly address their differences through dialogue and consultation, manage and control the situation, and jointly work for the peace and stability of South Asia and the growth of the region."
A recent terror attack on an Indian military base camp in Jammu and Kashmir state has sparked a fresh diplomatic row between India and Pakistan. New Delhi accused Pakistan of being behind the terror attack that left at least 18 Indian soldiers dead. Islamabad, on the other hand, blamed India for tarnishing its image in the international community after wrongfully branding it as a terror state.
