NFL two-time All-Pro running back, LeSean McCoy of the Philadelphia Eagles, is gaining considerable backlash for a low tip he left at a diner.

It is common practice to leave at least 15 to 20 percent of the total bill as a tip.

However, a burger bar called PYT posted a picture on Monday showing McCoy's receipt of the night. It said that out of a US$61.56 bill, he only paid 20 cents in tip. It was .03% of the bill.

The server of the establishment, and of McCoy and his friends, was Rob Knelly. He recently said in an interview that McCoy and his friends were "unresponsive, rude, and profane."

The owner of the restaurant also called them verbally abusive and insulting.

He says that he had forgot one appetizer early on, and apologized for that. However, once the food the player and entourage ordered came, they said they didn't want to eat the food and that they don't want it.

This paints a sad picture for McCoy.

McCoy though has also taken to the media to defend his name.

In front of reporters, McCoy said that the 20 cent tip was a statement of sorts, adding that if he had to do things again, he wouldn't change a thing.

He goes on to say that he is usually a good tipper and he is very respectful when he eats in restaurants around Philadelphia.

"I think there's a difference between good service and bad service or just having a bad day," McCoy said. "There's a big difference with just being rude and disrespectful. That's how that went."

These are the reasons why he left his calling card for them to see.

Several people online have also come to McCoy's defense though, saying that the service of the establishment really wasn't up to par.
