These were the words Chinese tennis player Zhen Jie said after defeating US tennis superstar Venus William in the second round of the U.S. Open.
The defeat sent Williams packing home after failing to make a comeback in the 6-3, 2-6, 7-6 game with Zheng Jie. A tie-breaker would have given Williams the comback points but she sent a volley into the net.
3-Hours Match
The match lasted for more than three hours, considered as the longest match of the tournament so far, as rain kept players off the court at the Louis Armstrong Stadium.
Williams said she gave every thing she had but Zheng came more prepared for what the Chinese player considered as the game of her life.
At the end, Williams exited the U.S. Open in the second round, the third time that Williams was out of the Open after the second round.
Williams, however, brushed off speculations of retirement. She said she will definitely want to come back, although she stressed that the next Open is still far away.
For her part, Zheng Jie said she still could not believe that she can defeat Williams. She apologized to William's fans who filled up the Louis Armstrong Stadium to watch their idol play.
Zheng will advance to the third round of the Open and will be up against Spanish tennis star Carla Suarez Navarro for a berth in the round of 16.
Li Na Also Advances To 3rd Round
Another Chinese tennis superstar, Li Na, will advance to the third round of the US Open after defeating Sweden's Sofia Arvidsson, 6-2,6-2.
Li will finally get her wish to play against Britain's Laura Robson in the third round. It was Robson who defeated Li in the third round of the 2012 US Open at Flushing Meadows last year.
Li said she has improved a lot since their last encounter last year and that she will come prepared playing against Robson.
