Though the Apple started accepting preorders of the iPhone 6 and its bigger brother, the iPhone 6 Plus, at midnight PT on Friday, many sites that would sell the service were not open at the time, including Apple Store.

After two hours of being out of commission, the online store went back online.

While preorders through AT&T and Verizon Wireless largely started without problems at midnight, a few consumers on Twitter have since voiced out their concerns.

The issues experienced by customers were negligible compared to issues that T-Mobile and Sprint subscribers were faced with as the two companies' sites were offline two hours after the start of the preorder schedule.

T-Mobile's website continuously displayed a registration form as a reminder for the start of the preorders, while Sprint's site accessibility faded in and out.

The outage of Apple Store is the second largest the company experienced in the week. The livestream revealing Apple's latest devices was intermittent, and several viewers heard viceos dubbed Mandarin instead of English.

While both devices are set to be released on Sept. 19, consumers in China will have to wait an indefinite amount of time to get their hands on the handsets from retailers.

Chinese news reports said Wednesday the iPhone 6 has not been approved for release by the government's Ministry for Industry and Information Technology that authorizes technologies such as smartphones. There was no sign of the iPhone 6 on the regulator's website

In addition, the online Apple Store in China doesn't offer information on pre-order sales for both devices, which was significantly advertised in other markets such as the U.S. and Canada starting on Sept. 12.
