Facebook Adds Another Feature: Wants to Know Why You Don't Like Certain Ads

Facebook is getting a little bit clingy again.
Their latest feature that wants to understand why you hide certain ads is like giving a reason to this ex of yours why you broke up with him and you just don't have the reason why.
In exchange for you letting Facebook understand you better, the social networking platform promises to have more relevant ads in place of the ones that keep popping-up on your feed.

Facebook wants to figure out what ads a user wants to see and what he doesn't want to be on his newsfeed at all.
On Thursday, Facebook released a statement saying it will update the newsfeed ad-hiding tools.
The change they're talking about is this: whenever you choose to hide an ad, a pop-up question automatically appears. Facebook prompts you to answer why with a series of probable answers.
Facebook will also place more importance on answers from those who don't usually opt to hide ads. They think this is an indicator that a certain ad is either inappropriate or ineffective.
Facebook Product Manager Max Eulenstein said they've concluded that hiding an ad is just as important as the hide itself.
Facebook has been trying to figure out how to make the newsfeed even better than it is now by using an algorithm to decide what posts people should be seeing.
