'White Collar' Sixth Season Will Be Its Last, Promises To Have 'Exciting and Shocking Ending'

Another show bites the dust.

USA Network just made the official announcement that the upcoming sixth season of the crime series "White Collar" will be its last.

The show will be rolling out its final six episodes on November 6 at 9 pm.

"White Collar" fans are certainly mourning the loss, but Chris McCumber, president of USA Network, also hinted at an "exciting and shocking ending" when he announced the show's end.

McCumber said the show has had a large following mainly because of the onscreen chemistry between its two main stars, Matt Bomer and Tim DeKay, who play con artist-turned-FBI consultant Neal Caffrey and all-around good guy and FBI agent Peter Burke, respectively.

McCumber gives the two "credit for one of the most brilliantly performed 'bromances' in all of television."

He added, "The series also benefited from smart writing and an extraordinarily talented supporting cast, who helped it become a fan favorite crime drama for five straight years. This season will not disappoint, with an exciting and shocking ending that fans will never forget."

McCumber said saying goodbye to the two main characters will be extremely difficult, but the whole team is proud of what they have accomplished over the last six years.

Creator Jeff Eastin was grateful to the network for giving the show a home and said he can't wait for fans to be surprised at what the final season has in store for them.

The show debuted in 2009 as one of the best new cable originals of the said year.

USA decided to cancel the show as it transitions to more provocative new shows such as "Rush and Satisfaction".

Along with "White Collar", other long-running shows that were recently cancelled include Necessary Roughness, Psych and Burn Notice.

The network has yet to renew Suits, Sirens, Royal Pains, Benched, Dig and Graceland.
