The Denver Nuggets remain keen on trading Kenneth Faried as the power forward is reportedly still being shopped to interested teams.

According to ESPN's Zach Lowe, the Nuggets have been "dangling Faried off and on for three years, and continue to now" and could "deal in either team-building direction or go full rebuild by flipping their established veterans for more picks."

Faried, who will turn 27 next month, has not met expectations since he signed a four-year, $50 million deal with the Nuggets in 2014. With his declining numbers and three years with $38.76 million left on his contract, the former Morehead State standout's trade value is not that high at the moment, which is why Denver is having difficulty finding a trade partner.

The Nuggets are reportedly considering adding fellow veteran Danilo Gallinari to a trade package to woo in potential takers.

From being a regular starter in the past couple of seasons, Faried is now relegated to young big men Nikola Jokic and Jusuf Nurkic in head coach Mike Malone's rotation. This indicates that the team might be ready to move on from the undersized power forward.

Denver is rumored to be planning a youth revolution headed by last year's seventh overall pick Emmanuel Mudiay. The emergence of young guards Gary Harris and Will Barton is also a sign that the Nuggets are trying to go to in a different direction.

With Denver's young talents now rising, Faried seems to be the odd-man out in the team development as he does not complement well with their style of play.

NBC Sports' Pro Basketball Talk noted that Faried's glaring weaknesses are "he neither spreads the floor offensively nor protects the rim defensively" which makes him a "difficult fit anywhere."

This explains the reluctance of other teams to sign the 2012 All-Rookie First-Teamer despite the grit and hustle plays he is known for.

Faried is entering his sixth season in the league, all with the Nuggets, and at his age, he still has a lot of potential.
