New York Knicks starting point guard Derrick Rose and two friends appeared on court for the first time to face rape charges filed against them on Thursday.
The accuser, who also appeared, gave her testimony to decide the $21.5 million lawsuit she filed against the three.
The woman was about to begin with her account of what happened when Rose entered the courtroom, a scenario that got her emotional, as her lawyer was asking him about the details of the alleged sexual assault.

Based on her testimony, she went to a Beverly Hills mansion rented by Rose one night in August 2013.
She allegedly got very drunk that she even felt about being drugged.
The accuser testified that when she arrived to her apartment she vomited and passed out on her bed. Based on court documents, she accused that the hree men came to her apartment and raped her.
She pointed out, though, in a portion of her narration that she did not remember much about what happened thereafter.
During the inquisition, an attorney standing for Rose's two friends objected that the accuser should stop crying while on the witness stand. The judge declined the objection.
In a statement acquired by CBS News, United States District Judge Michael W. Fitzgerald said, "I'm not going to order the witness not to cry any more than I'm going to order her not to breath."
No criminal charges were filed against Rose and his two friends yet. However, the Los Angeles police department confirmed that detectives are investigating the details of the case.
