"2013 Shanghai's Top 100 Enterprises" has been published recently. Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation, Shanghai Baosteel Group Corporation and Bank of Communications rank top three. The list includes enterprises such as private enterprises, state-owned enterprises and foreign companies, in which private enterprises account for nearly 40%. Fosun International Ltd, CEFC (Shanghai) Group Co., Ltd and Shanghai People Enterprise Group Co., Ltd rank top three in the "2013 Shanghai's Top 100 Private Enterprises" simultaneously published.

7 entered Fortune Global 500

The selection of "2013 Shanghai's Top 100 Enterprises" was together carried out by Shanghai Enterprises Association and Shanghai Entrepreneurs' Association. The annual revenue of nominated enterprises should not be lower than RMB 30.7 million Yuan.

It is reported that, the total annual revenue of the top 100 enterprises in Shanghai reached RMB 3.92 billion Yuan, growing by 10.69% year on year.  The overall net assets reached RMB 2.26 billion Yuan, growing by 14.92% year on year. The amount of overall assets was RMB 13.1 billion Yuan, increasing by 14.86% from last year.

In 2013, there are 7 Shanghai's enterprises entered the list of Fortune Global 500, adding two more enterprises, Shanghai Pudong Development Bank and Bailian Group, on the list this year.

According to the list, Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation, Shanghai Baosteel Group Corporation and Bank of Communications rank top three, followed in order by Greenland Group, China Pacific Insurance Group, Shanghai Pudong Development Bank, Bailian Group, Bright Food (Group) Co., Ltd, Yihai Kerry Investment Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Construction Group.

Half of top 10 located in Pudong District

Half of the top 10 enterprises' headquarters, including Shanghai Baosteel Group Corporation, Bank of Communications, China Pacific Insurance Group, Shanghai Pudong Development Bank and Yihai Kerry Investment Co., Ltd. are located In Pudong District. In addition, Shanghai Shenghua Cable Group, also located in Pudong District entered the list of "2013 Shanghai's Top 100 Private Enterprises".

60% belong to service industry

It's worth mentioning that, enterprises belonging to service industry account for about 60% in the list of "2013 Shanghai's Top 100 Private Enterprises", while about 40% of Shanghai's top 100 private enterprises fall into service industry, showing that service Industry has gained profits during the transformation period.

However, the top 2 Shanghai's private enterprises, Fosun International Ltd and CEFC (Shanghai) Group Co., Ltd, only rank 21st and 26th respectively in the list of "2013 Shanghai's Top 100 Enterprises", indicating that there exist big gaps between private enterprises and other kinds of enterprises.
