T.J. Lane, the Chardon High School shooter was one of the three Ohio inmates, who escaped from the Allen Oakwood Correctional Institution during recreation on Thursday but were successfully recaptured on Friday morning.
This incident then prompts an investigation by the criminal and internal department in order to know how they were able to escape.

Lane's brief freedom has frightened residents in Chardon becuase of the shooting that occurred back in 2012.
Lane fatally shot three students and wounded two more. He was sentenced with three consecutive life sentences.
Outside experts will be reviewing the state prisons agency in order to recommend improvements. All three inmates are now in a high-security prison in northeastern Ohio specifically in Youngstown.
According to police reports, the three prisoners were held in a protective control unit. A day before the escape, another inmate who was held in the same control unit, has been stopped from escaping by prison officials. Authorities have not mentioned how the escape was executed.
The three inmates first climbed a fence to get to the roof of an entry building at around 7:30 P.M. on Thursday but an alarm immediately sounded. Two of them were able to run from the guards but they were eventually captured.
Inmate Lindsey Bruce was captured immediately by the prison guards. While Lane, 19, has been caught at 1:20 A.M. after a police dog located him, just 100 yards away from the said prison. The third inmate named Clifford Opperud was caught hiding under a boat, three hours later by the officers, who used infrared camera and a police dog to locate him.
The Ohio Civil Service Employees Association also released a statement saying that there was another inmate discovered by the officers, who had an escape plan with him, last Wednesday. The inmate was immediately put in segregation. However, the Department of Rehabilitation and Correction countered this statement saying that the said inmate had nothing to do with the escape.
Police authorities have yet to release information regarding the escape.
