Filipino mixed martial arts warrior Jenel Lausa is set to make his debut bout in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) against the Chinese MMA fighter Yao Zhikui on November 27 at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, Australia.
According to Sherdog, the 28-year-old Lausa currently has a professional fighting record of six wins and two losses. The native of Iloilo, Philippines won his fellow countryman Crisanto "The Slugger" Pitpitunge in the PXC - Pacific Xtreme Combat 51 in January.

The scheduled November MMA bout is a "dream come" true for the veteran Filipino fighter, who was originally slated to fight on the undercard match of UFC Manila on October 15. However, that fight did not materialize after BJ Penn of the United States withdrew from the main event following an injury that he suffered during training.
Lausa aims to display an impressive performance on the global stage against his 25-year-old Chinese opponent, who now has a professional fighting record of two victories in six contests, GMA News Online reported.
Yao was born in Henan, China and has been a professional competitor since the year 2012 fighting mostly in his home country. He stands 5-foot-7-inches tall and weighs 125 pounds.
He last won an MMA fight over the 28-year-old American Nolan Ticman in May 2015 in an undercard bout in the Frankie Edgar versus Urijah Faber UFC Fight Night 66 by way of a three-rounder split decision.
The fight's main event will feature former UFC middleweight titleholder Luke Rockhold of the United States. The current top-ranked middleweight fighter will take on Jacare Souza of Brazil in five sets of five-minute rounds.
UFC, which was founded in November 2003, is considered the largest MMA promoter in the world and features most of the top-ranked fighters in the sport.
