Former Hong Kong beauty queen Bernice Liu steps forward to refute rumors that she and actress Fala Chen's ex-husband Daniel Sit, heir to Style International, are dating.

Liu has stressed that she is still single and in no way dating Sit, after rumors that she and the heir were dating surfaced.

It was recently reported that Liu and Sit were spotted on a dinner date at Stefan Wong's restaurant. Sources say that two had been seen getting cozy with each other while sharing a meal at said venue.

However, Liu emphasized that she and Sit were only friends. The two have known each other for a long time and there was nothing romantic going on between the two of them. The actress claimed to be single at the moment and also stated that her relationship with the heir doesn't have room for development at all.

"There's no chance for development right now and we wouldn't be embarrassed even if we see each other in the future," Liu stated.

Having been labeled as a gold-digger many times for her choice of wealthy dates, Liu stated that she doesn't have any qualities she looks for in a partner and just lets things go naturally.

Another rumor which surfaced about the actress was that she was dating French sommelier Jea-Chales Cazes, but this, too, she denied.

On the other hand, Liu's career seems to be going well after she decided to leave TVB back in 2011. The actress is said to be earning a big sum of money on her filming projects as well as public appearances in mainland China.

Liu is said to be investing in different businesses in order to increase her wealth through assets. Liu has recently opened a red wine business, bought properties in Tseung Kwan O and also invested on a property in Vancouver worth $3 million HKD.

Liu has expressed her wish to buy more properties in the future and says that she would be interested in purchasing as long as the price is right.
