Walmart's decided to play Santa Claus really early and has just issued its Top 12 Gift Suggestions for this Christmas.

Walmart secretly assembled a focus group of hundreds of kids between the ages of 18 months and 12 years a few months ago and let them play with the hottest new toys from top toymakers. And, yes, tech toys are on Wal-Mart's list.

The result was a list of toys the average American kid will rush to Walmart to buy--after convincing their parents to part with their cash.

Walmart said toys that challenge kids' creativity are hot and could be a trend. Electronic toys remain popular, of course.
