News has erupted on Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight and straightforward bad boy, Nick Diaz, regarding his two previous arrests. This may jeopardize his upcoming return fight with "The Spider" Anderson Silva.
The Lodi Police Department arrested Diaz in his hometown of Stockton, California, last September 6. They stopped him on the road, investigating their suspicion of Diaz driving under the influence (DUI).

He was taken to a local jail afterwards. Once there, Diaz began obstructing the police's investigation and would even destroy their evidence after submitting to a breathalyzer set. He then went to the bathroom and try to vomit as well.
These actions lead the police to file additional charges. He was released in the morning and given a notice to appear in court.
For this meeting with the local law enforcement, he was charged with DUI, destruction of evidence, and driving with a suspended license.
A Lodi Policeman said that DUI is considered a minor charge unless the accused has a previous charge or has injured someone.
While this may not be a serious problem, investigators have found out that Diaz has been arrested twice in the past year, and has missed multiple court dates.
This may hinder Diaz from fighting with Silva on Super Bowl weekend, on January 31, 2015.
The UFC has released a statement stating that they are aware of what has transpired and are in the process of gathering facts.
Silva has been out of action since he lost to Chris Weidman in devastating fashion. He is currently training for his comeback after rehabbing his newly-healed leg.
Diaz has also been out of action since 2013, when he lost a unanimous decision bout against Georges St-Pierre.
