Alcatel has announced that its latest budget-friendly device, the Alcatel Boost DEX smartphone, is now available in Boost Mobile for only $99, along with a high-quality audio hardware and pre-loaded DJ software.

The new handheld from Alcatel, which will be available in black, green and orange covers,  can also be purchased via online stores Kmart, BigW and Target.

What makes this device even more interesting is that it comes with pre-loaded DJ software, which will allow the respective users to mix tracks and watch clips on the go.

The Alcatel Boost DEX features a 5-inch FWVGA display with a resolution of 480 × 854, powered by a still unknown Quad Core Processor clocked at a speed of 1.0 GHz and 1 GB of RAM. It comes equipped with a built-in 8GB internal memory storage, which can be expandedt to a maxium of 32GB via a dedicated microSD card slot.

The new device from Alcatel sports a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front facing shooter for selfies.

It runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) operating system out of the box, along with Alcatel's customized user interface.

It also has a Li-Ion 2000mAh capacity battery inside, which according to Alcatel, can last up to 11 hours of talk time and 440 hours of stand-by time.

Connectivity options of the Alcatel Boost DEX smartphone include Bluetooth v4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS with A-GPS, 2G; 900/1800MHz, 3G: 850/2100MHz, and 4G: 700/1800/2100/2600MHz. 140.7 x 72.5 x 9.5mm and weighs around 165 grams.
