S.H.E. member Ella Chen confirmed that she is indeed pregnant with her first child.

The 35-year-old posted a photo of herself together with her husband Malaysian businessman Alvin Lai to officially announce that they are expecting a new addition to their family. The photo shows Ella holding pregnancy test sticks.

"Being the person who can't hide anything like me, I really had a miserable time holding it back. But now I want to tell you all loudly: I am pregnant," Ella posted.

She further revealed that she is now on her third month and that she will announce the baby's gender during the launch of her single next week, Yahoo! News reported.

Ella admitted she was more shocked than surprised when she first learned about her pregnancy, Jaynestars noted.

"It came too suddenly. I sat there on the sofa for a long minute before I finally realized what was really happening. Thank you for your blessings. We're now a family of four!" she said, referring to her pet dog named Pudding.

She  discovered her pregnancy on Aug. 21 after using two tests, according to Strait Times.

Meanwhile, two of her bandmates Selina and Hebe quickly responded on social media to congratulate. Selina wrote, "I'm going to cry! I'm an aunt!"

Ella also shared how supportive her husband is, saying he is always looking after her diet. "He would watch what I'm eating and tell me what I should eat, and what I shouldn't. He's excited that it's finally his time to be a father."

Speculation has been around that Ella is pregnant with their first child after she was spotted wearing flats and baggy clothes in all the photos she shared during her vacation. Reports were further fueled after the singer withdrew alcoholic beverage endorsement.
