2013 China (Guangdong) International Tourism Industry Expo, carried out by National Tourism Administration of People's Republic of China and People's Government of Guangdong Province, was held at China Import and Export Fair Pazhou Complex, Guangzhou on August 30th. Hu Chunhua, Provincial Party Secretary, Shao Qiwei, Director of National Tourism Administration, Zhu Xiaodan, Governor of Guangzhou Province, Lin Musheng, Secretary-General of the Provincial Party Committee and An Dongliang, Chairman of the Pacific Asia Travel Association, attended the contract signing ceremony.

The number of investment and procurement contracts, agreements and project proposals carried out in this exhibition reached 75 and total contract amount is RMB 142.5 billion Yuan. There are 64 investment projects with total contract amount of RMB 132.35 billion Yuan, including exploitation and construction projects of scenic spots, hotels and tourism industry parks in 19 cities in the Pearl River Delta and Guangzhou. There are 11 procurement projects with total contract amount of RMB 10 billion Yuan, including flight tickets, catering equipment, hotel supplies, stereo equipment, etc.

This exhibition attracted both tourist cities in Guangzhou Province and remote provinces such as Tibet, Sinkiang and Qinghai. Some cities promoted their most creative and characteristic projects by performing song and dance or providing delicious food. Exhibitors from 45 foreign countries including the US, Italy, Japan and Thailand attended the exhibition. Their unique products and local traditional costumes attracted a lot of tourists and travel agencies.

The exhibition has 5,500 standard booths, covering 120,000 square meters. There are 10 theme pavilions such as China Pavilion, Foreign Countries and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Pavilion, and Wise Tourism Pavilion, and 1 outdoor exhibition of caravan. The overall exhibition attracts 3000 enterprises and 20,000 professional buyers. The total number of audiences is expected to exceed 500,000. During the exhibition, Professional Buyers Communication Meetings, 2013 China's Hotel Industry Annual Meeting, 2013 Guangzhou (International) Caravan Exhibition and China (Guangzhou) International Caravan and Camp Meeting will be held to set up various platforms for professional buyers and exhibitors to discuss cooperations and provide more business opportunities. In addition, tourism markets and other pavilions will promote various products and practical discounts to benefit the public. The total discount amount is going to exceed RMB 100 million Yuan.

2013 China (Guangdong) International Tourism Industry Expo is held until September 1st. Different from the previous ones, Tourism Industry Expo in 2013 is open free to the public. People can go to big travel agencies to pick up tickets or bring IDs to the exhibition ticket office to get tickets.
