Former "The Hills" reality star Lauren Conrad tied the knot with boyfriend William Tell last Saturday in an intimate ceremony on the Californian coast. The couple was surrounded by close friends and family.

Tell is the former guitarist of "Something Corporate" and is currently studying law.

The couple shared in a joint statement, "What a perfect way to start our lives together; surrounded by the people we love most." 

Conrad made sure that she was deeply involved with the details of the wedding. She even designed the dresses of her nine bridesmaids. Included in the chosen nine was her "The Hills" co-star Lo Bosworth.

In an interview with Martha Stewart Weddings last August, Conrad stated, "I sent them all the different shapes and let them pick from two colors. I don't mind if there are a few girls in the same dress, or if people are all in different ones."

Tell asked for Conrad's hand in marriage on October last year. The star said yes and took to social media to make the announcement, sharing that she was "beyond thrilled".

Conrad then celebrated her bachelorette party in Mexico with close girlfriends.

The wedding comes after two years of courtship.

The 28-year old star, author and fashion designer met 34-year old Tell on a blind date on Valentine's Day 2012.

During her stint on "The Hills", Conrad was described by Thomas Rogers from Salon as being "one of the dullest major characters in reality television history" but that her being "normal" in comparison to her co-stars, made her "vaguely likeable".

Despite critics calling her too normal for reality TV, Conrad has managed to create a following because of her respectability. Unlike her co-stars who delved in "bitch-slaps and drunken sex-capades", Conrad had a more relateable image, making her quite an "anomaly" amongst other reality TV stars.
