Pennsylvania police hope to gather more information on the ambush incident that happened just outside a police barracks Friday after receiving reports that the injured victim has awaken and will be able to talk following his surgery.
Authorities are scouring three states to locate the whereabouts of the suspects for the attack at a police barracks late on Friday, which left one Pennsylvania police trooper dead and another seriously injured.

Trooper Alex Douglass underwent surgery. He is now awake and capable of talking after recovering from the multiple gunshot wounds as a result of a shooting incident at a state police barracks in Blooming Grove at roughly 10:50 on Friday evening.
He was rushed to a hospital in Scranton, the Geisinger Medical Center, which was about 35 miles from the barracks.
Unfortunately, his companion, Corporal Bryon Dickson, did not share the same fate as he died on scene. He had been in service for seven years and was only transferred to the barracks a few months ago.
After reports on the incident emerged, a nonprofit organization offered a hefty reward of $50,000 for whoever can provide viable tips regarding Friday's ambush. This move resulted in a large number of calls received by the Pennsylvania police, the Associated Press reported on Sunday.
According to state police spokesperson Trooper Tom Kelly, the details on the probe are still kept confidential to preserve the integrity of the leads.
Investigators searched the woods near the scene of the shooting on Sunday and are said to be focusing on three states.
According to State Police Commissioner Frank Noonan, over a hundred law enforcement personnel are working on the case dubbed as a 'cowardly attack.'
"This attack was an ambush. Our troopers were leaving the barracks and were shot without warning and really had no chance to defend themselves," he stated.
He also said that though they have interviewed a 'person of interest,' he stressed that the person is not a suspect and that he was just one of several people questioned as part of the probe.
