Golden State Warriors' Stephen Curry, one of the most exciting players, if not the best, in the league right now, has recently broken yet another three-point record.

In the game against the New Orleans Pelicans, Curry scored four three-pointers making him the fastest player in the NBA to pass the 1,600 three-point mark.

The record was previously held by Ray Allen, who managed to reach 1,600 three-points made in 693 games. Curry was able to reach the same feat in only 497 games, besting Allen's record by almost 200 games less, according to CBS Sports.

Last season, Curry made 402 three-pointers, a single-season record in NBA history.

Despite being widely held as a marksman on the three-point area, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr does not think his ace player will be able to recreate the same feat this season.

Although this point of view remains to be proven, some sports analysts attribute the latest addition of Kevin Durant to the squad as the reason why Kerr said such comments.

With Durant on the lineup, Curry, along with the other half of the Splash Brothers, Klay Thompson, will most likely share the offensive duties with the former Oklahoma City Thunder star. This could mean less pressure for Curry, and more offensive options for the Warriors.

The Warriors beat the Pelicans on Friday, 112-114. Durant led the Warriors with 30 points, 17 rebounds, and 6 assists. Thompson added 28 points, 4 assists, and 2 rebounds. Curry managed to score 23 points and dished out 7 assists.

On the Pelicans' side, Antony Davis led the pack with 45 points, 17 rebounds, and 3 assists. Tim Frazier recorded 21 points, and 10 assists. Coming off the bench, Lance Stephenson and Dante Cunningham each had 15 points.
