Recent NBA trade rumors hinting that the Washington Wizards could send John Wall to the Los Angeles Lakers for a package that includes D'Angelo Russell and Julius Randle have emerged.

Wall and Russell have been involved in trade speculations between the Wizards and Lakers since the end of last season after rumors went out that the former No. 1 overall pick and his backcourt partner Brandon Beal were having chemistry issues both on and off the court.

It was reported that the cause of this rumored feud was Beal's new five-year contract worth $127.2 million, giving him an average annual wage of about $25 million.

Wall is currently in the third season of his five-year, $84.7 million deal with the Wizards, which earns him a significantly less $16.9 million per year.

"I think a lot of times we have a tendency to dislike each other on the court... we got to be able to put that to the side," Wall said in August about his relationship with Beal. "Now that you have your money you got to go out there and improve your game. I want you to be an All-Star just as much as I'm an All-Star."

"If we were playing well as a tandem like the other two superstars that play together as a backcourt, play as a tandem, one night it's going to be his night, one night it's going to be mine, some nights it might be both of us," he added. "Those are nights it's going to be tough to beat us."

Inquisitr suggested a trade with the Lakers could be coming soon for the Wizards if its two backcourt stars will not get along well during the course of the season.

Washington will reportedly agree to send Wall to the Lakers for a package that includes Russell, Randle and veteran point guard Jose Calderon. The trade is possible under the NBA trade and salary cap rules, according to the ESPN NBA Trade Machine.

With such a scenario, the Lakers will finally have the premier point guard they need to get back in contention in the stacked Western Conference. However, losing Randle will put a significant hole in the team's power forward spot moving forward.
