Ni Yan also contributed 11 points in the game and was named the event's Most Valuable Player and Best Middle Blocker along with Korean Hyo-Jin Yang.

Kazakhstan turned the tides easily taking the next two sets but Japan sensed lapses in the Kazakhs' play and took advantage to take the fourth set, forcing a fifth and deciding set.

It's a race to 15 points and Kazakhstan overpowered the Japanese nationals with their blocks to emerge victorious 26-28, 25-23, 25-14, 19-25, 15-7.
