Shaolin Kung Fu will appear in the Moscow's Red Square for the upcoming Spasskaya Tower International Military Music Festival in Russia. The music festival will take place between September 1st and 8th. As the inheritor of Chinese national intangible cultural heritage, Shaolin monastery abbot Shi Yongxin will visit the music festival. By that time, the audience will feast their eyes on the splendid Shaolin Kung Fu show.
August 28th, Shaolin monastery abbot Shi Yongxin arrived in Moscow and was given rapturous reception by the local Shaolin disciples, followers and people from all walks of life. Many Shaolin Russian disciples knelt with ceremonial prostration to Abbot Shi Yongxi, and sent him flowers to welcome his appearance in the International Military Music Festival.
On August 29th, Shaolin Warrior Monks and a Chinese performance team "Chaohua Chuige", which is an ancient Chinese musical performance form, rehearsed in the Red Square of Moscow for a whole day. They are preparing for the upcoming Spasskaya Tower International Military Music Festival in Russia. The commander in chief of the Kremlin Regiment Gen. Sergei met Abbot Shi Yongxi on the same day. Gen. Sergei also conveyed Russian President Putin's greetings and blessings to Shaolin Cultural Delegation. Later, Gen. Sergei watched Shaolin Warrior Monks' rehearsal with Abbot Shi Yongxi.
Early in 2006, Russian President Putin visited Shaolin Temple. Since then, President Putin has been bound up with Shaolin culture. In 2009, Putin invited Shaolin Warrior Monks to take part in that year's international military music festival in Russia. This year, once more, Putin invited Shaolin Cultural Delegation to attend the 2013 International Military Music Festival. On September 1st, Putin will appear in the Red Square, with diplomatic envoys from different countries, to review the performances of artists from all over the world. By that time, Shaolin Warrior Monks will display their Kung Fu talents thoroughly in the International Military Music Festival of great influence.
