Recent rumors are out that the New York Knicks could trade Carmelo Anthony in midseason as the team might go the full rebuild route after a dismal start to the season.
Even with the addition of superstar Derrick Rose and veteran players Joakim Noah and Courtney Lee in the offseason, the Knicks still looked like the old disappointing team that they had been in the past several years as they presently tout a dismal 2-4 record.

The team has lost three of their last four games, two of which via blowouts, with their latest one a 114-109 defeat to fellow struggling squad Utah Jazz at the Madison Square Garden on Sunday night.
The Knicks led by two points, 80-78, after three quarters of play, but they let the Jazz outscore them 36-29 in the final period to concede another game.
Rose said some challenging words after the game, specifically criticizing the team's effort on defense, as per Sportsrageous.
"I always said it's our defense with our team that will spark everything. Our defense is everything. Offensively we're going to be fine. It's definitely everybody being on a string, everybody communicating, everybody on the same page," Rose said.
With the Knicks' troubled situation despite a massive roster overhaul in the summer, speculations abound that the real root of their struggles is Anthony and that he could be traded soon.
However, the nine-time NBA All-Star has a no-trade clause in his contract, which means he has to approve any deal that he will be included in.
Basketball Insiders' Steve Kyler recently said that Anthony could arrive to a point when he will finally "ask out of the situation" in New York to join a team where he can have a legitimate shot at winning an NBA title.
Kyler revealed that he had "talked" to people within the organization saying that Anthony wants to stay with the Knicks as he believes that "he has too much going on in New York that he believes defines him." However, Kyler also said that Anthony may reach a saturation point where he finally wants to win something in the NBA.
With that, rumors are out that the Celtics could be a potential landing spot for Anthony. Boston is reportedly ready to give up a package including rookie Jaylen Brown, Amir Johnson, and Avery Bradley in exchange for the former NBA scoring champ.
Getting Anthony could be the legitimate superstar that the Celtics are waiting for as they hope to once again become a title contender.
