The Philadelphia 76ers are rumored to be ready to let go of big men Nerlens Noel and Jahlil Okafor for the Golden State Warriors' Klay Thompson.

Philadelphia has been mentioned in trade rumors since the offseason after the team disclosed that they are planning to trade either Noel or Okafor to solve the team's potential frontcourt logjam once Joel Embiid finally makes his debut and Dario Saric arrives from Europe.

Ben Simmons' selection as the top draft pick this year further muddled up the Sixers frontline heading into the season. However, Simmons' foot injury and Noel's knee injury has somewhat eased the pressure on the team so far this season.

The Sixers had time to experiment with the twin-tower combination of Noel and Okafor last season and the team has found out that the two do not mesh well together on the court. This led to many more rumors that Noel or Okafor could be on their way out of the club soon, particularly the former.

The club's failure to give Noel a contract extension during the deadline at the beginning of the month is said to be an indication that the former Kentucky standout is more likely to get traded than Okafor.

However, rumors have emerged that Philly is willing to give up both Noel and Okafor in exchange for the Warriors' Thompson, according to Sportsrageous.

Thompson is rumored to be the odd-man out in the Golden State's Big Four with Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, and Draymond Green because of his current shooting slump this season. The four seem to be complementing each other well and Thompson is said to be getting the losing end of the stick.

The former Washington State standout has been linked to different teams such as the San Antonio Spurs, Milwaukee Bucks, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Orlando Magic.

ESPN's NBA Trade Machine has approved a deal sending Thompson to the Sixers for Noel, Okafor, and veteran power forward Ersan Ilyasova, although it remains to be seen whether Philly would really be ready to lose this much frontcourt talent for a single shooting guard who does not seem to be in top form at the moment.
