Gordon Ordered to Pay $36M Over Late Bobbi Kristina’s Death

The late Bobbi Kristina's boyfriend, Gordon Brown, has been ordered by a Fulton County Judge on Thursday to pay a penalty of $36 million over her death.
According to USA Today, Judge T. Jackson Bedford stated that since he had failed to appear before the court twice, the defendants had to grounds in their argument.

The lawsuit, which had was initiated by relatives of the late Bobbi Kristina's late mother Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, alleged that Gordon is guilty of assault, criminal battery, purposely inflicting emotional distress as well as illegally transferring money from her account.
Testimonials from Bobbi Kristina's friends and Bobby Brown led to Bedford's ruling that her death, as well as the damages incurred, are priceless.
Judge Bedford, in his ruling, said that "To determine the value of life is pretty difficult. The court has been back there primarily struggling with that particular issue."
According to Glenda Hatchett, a representative of the Brown estate, Nick Gordon's actions were horrific especially given that Bobbi Kristina loved and trusted him.
"The judge should send a strong message in the award of punitive damages that this despicable behavior is inexcusable and will not be tolerated," said Hatchett.
Gordon had missed the court hearing, In his absence, he was represented by state-appointed attorneys, Joe Habachy and Jose Baez.
"These are allegations are baseless," said Baez. "Gordon is heartbroken and should not be charged with this 'fictitious assault.'"
Bobbi Kristina died in July 2015, six months after she had been put in intensive care. Autopsy results show that at her time of death, Bobbi Kristina's system was full of alcohol and marijuana among other drugs.
