Chinese smartphone maker Bluboo has claimed that its latest device - the Bluboo Edge smartphone - has sold out over 30,000 units in just one week. It was notable that the Chinese company slashed the price tag of the device for as low as $129.99 (approximately 896.60 Yuan / Rs. 8,870.51) during its presale promotion.

The Bluboo Edge smartphone features a 5.5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) OGS display panel with AU Optronics, with five-point multitouch support, and sensitive dual-layer touch panel that is usable even with wet hands and gloves. Under the hood, the handheld device is powered by a quad-core MT6737 processor clocked at a speed of 1.3GHz, which is paired with 2GB of RAM onboard. It comes equipped with a built-in 16GB of internal memory storage, which can be further expanded to up to 265GB via a dedicated microSD card slot.

On the photography side, the Bluboo Edge smartphone sports an 8-megapixel Sony IMX219 primary sensor on the rear camera with LED Flash support. On the front is 5-megapixel camera for selfies and video calling purposes.

The phone runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) operating system out of the box, along with Bluboo's latest customized user interface laid on top of it. The smartphone is backed by a Li-Ion 2,600 mAh capacity battery inside.

Other features the Bluboo Edge smartphone offers include a dual-SIM with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, LTE support, Blueetooth, GPS with A-GPS, and microUSB v2.0. The Bluboo Edge smartphone is available in White and Black color options.
