New information that was leaked from a private Rockstar conference, describes many improvements being implemented for the Playstation 4 version of Grand Theft Auto V.

The information comes from a GameStop manager attending the conference in Anaheim, where Rockstar reportedly showed the PS4 version of the game's city, underwater and countryside areas in a 45-minute closed-doors presentation.

With more computing power, the render distance has drastically improved in the game.  The lighting at a distance was "pre-baked" on the PS3, but the PS4 version is "pre-loaded in real time" allowing the user to see lights and other aspects much clearer from a huge distance.

The overall detail of the game has improved drastically. Character appearances have improved. Details in the street have improved; for example, rainwater now collects in pools on the road. It's basically like switching from a standard TV to an HDTV.

Wildlife including animal appearances, foliage, and underwater coral reefs has been completely re-done. Some examples include new more realistic trees, individual grass blades instead of patches of grass, and animals having realistic strands of hair coming from the body.

The traffic is much more dense with twice as many cars on the road than originally implemented.

The amount of wildlife and animals has also been increased. Rockstar mentioned they're taking aspects from the Red Dead Redemption in an effort to improve animal interactions for players in GTA V.

There have been rumors going around how Rockstar began developing next-gen versions even before GTA V's initial release date last year, and according to the GameStop manager, he definitely feels you can see the hard work that's been put into it.

"Best remaster I've seen by far. I literally gasped at the differences," the GameStop manger said.
