It seems walking down the street with a woman companion in China is now dangerous - there is a possibility that you might get stabbed. A man in Xichang, Sichuan province, stabbed a woman who he thought was a man, and the reason is surprising, if not somewhat sad.
The man, who was only identified by his surname Cao, told police that he was angry because the "man," who was not as "handsome" as he is, had a female companion. The two were walking in a park.

Cao got off his bicycle and pulled out a knife with the intent to rob "him." To his surprise, the woman fought back but was stabbed in the process.
Local authorities detained the man.
"I thought he wasn't as handsome as me, yet he had a girlfriend. I was upset so I robbed him," Cao told police. It is not yet verified if anything was stolen.
According to reports by local media, Cao's bizarre action is not shocking given his track record of petty crimes. In 2013, he was found guilty for robbery and faced a two-year custodial sentence. The was suspended for three years
