Vivo Y66 Smartphone Spotted on TENAA Certification

An upcoming Vivo smartphone has been spotted by China's telecommunication equipment certification authority or commonly known as TENAA. The latest device was dubbed as the Vivo Y66, which features 3GB RAM and Qualcomm's Snapdragon 430 chipset.

According to TENAA listing, the Vivo Y66 smartphone will sport a full metallic body design. It has a 5.5-inch HD (720 x 1280 pixels) TFT display screen. Under the hood, the handheld device is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor clocked at a speed of 1.4GHz. It comes equipped with a 3GB of RAM and a built-in 32GB of internal memory storage, which can be further expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card slot.

The Vivo Y66 smartphone will be running on the Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) operating system out of the box. It is fueled by a 2930mAh capacity battery inside. The phone is packed with a 13-megapixel primary camera with LED flash and 5-megapixel secondary camera on the front. The rear camera can capture videos in 1080p at 30 frames per second.

Other features the Vivo Y66 smartphone offers include dual SIM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and 4G LTE network support. It would measure body dimension of 153.56 x 75.79 x 7.49 mm and weighs around 157 grams. It will be available in Rose Gold and Silver color variants.

Meanwhile, the Chinese brand has recently launched three smartphones in China, which are called Vivo X9, Vivo X9 Plus, and Vivo XPlay 6. The Vivo X9 smartphone is priced at 2,998 yuan ($433) for the 128GB variant and 2,798 Yuan ($404) for 64GB variant. The Vivo XPlay 6 smartphone costs around 4,498 Yuan ($650). And the pricing for the Vivo X9 Plus smartphone would be announced on Dec. 24.
