Her speech used powerful introductory words that boil down to her appeal for safety and protection of the American journalists at home.
"I never in a million years thought I would be up here on stage appealing for the freedom and safety of American journalists at home," Amanpour said.
Amanpour reiterated accusation thrown to media as known to well by journalists in the house like being accused of inciting, then sympathizing, and then associating. Media is also accused of being full-fledged terrorists and subversives.
These accusations end up some of the media men in handcuffs, in cages, in kangaroo courts, and in prison.
Amanpour gave more emphasis to her appeal as she stressed out that having "a great America requires a great and free and safe press."
She encouraged the journalists to stand up together and do not stand for being labeled crooked or lying or failing by recommitting to robust fact-based reporting without fear nor favor on the issues.
As Amanpour believes in being truthful, not neutral, she believed that they must stop banalizing the truth.
She even mentioned about fighting against a post-values world and reminded the audience about "Since when were American values elitist values?" These values formed the very fundamental foundation of the United States as it is the America's greatest export and gift to the world.
Finally, Amanpour appeals to stop journalism from becoming weaponized.
This never in a million thought of Amanpour Speech is really a history in all other events of the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) as she challenged to face the challenging era of Journalism in America and served as a reminder to all to be steady and focus on the clarity of what we know to be true and good about American ideals for bad things do happen when good people do nothing.
