Last week, the alleged Meizu 2016 launch schedule was leaked and revealed that the Chinese smartphone manufacturer is planning to release the M5 Note in December contrary to previous rumors claiming that the company will release it before the end of November. While some skeptics dismissed the leak, Meizu recently confirmed that the company is indeed launching the M5 Note on Dec. 6.

The confirmation came in a form of a teaser photo, which shows a real image of the phone with 12.6 written on it, probably to confirm the Dec. 6 date, according to Android Headlines. Aside from the M5 Note reveal, Meizu shared that more than 20 million M3 Note units have been produced to date. The company added that the production of the M3 Note will be put to a hold once the M5 Note arrives.

The Meizu M5 Note is the upcoming flagship device from the Chinese smartphone manufacturer. The device packs quite a punch under the hood and will most likely create a buzz in the industry given its premium-grade build without the hefty price tag.

The Meizu M5 Note has a MediaTek Helio P10 chipset, according to GSM Arena. It has a 5.5-inch display with Full HD resolution. Rumors claim that the base model of the phone will have 3GB of memory and 32GB of storage space, with options for a high-tiered 4GB memory configuration. On the camera aspect, the M5 Note will sport a 13-megapixel rear facing main camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing snapper for selfie shots and video calling. The phone is expected to run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Meizu's own custom skin on top.
