There are rumors that the Washington Wizards could pursue DeMarcus Cousins in midseason to reunite him with former college teammate John Wall while Bradley Beal emerges as the potential trade piece.

The Sacramento Kings visited the Wizards at the Verizon Center on Monday night, resulting in a 101-95 overtime win for the latter, with both Cousins and Wall having big games. However, the loudest news came from the possibility of the two players reuniting in the NBA, which both of them had acknowledged.

Cousins and Wall, close friends and former Kentucky Wildcats teammates, told reporters after the game that they had talked about the chance of getting back together in the pros. The two had remained loyal for the same NBA club during the first six years of their careers and both have stayed for a seventh season.

"We talk about it all the time," said Wall, smiling, as per the Washington Post. "Just trying to figure out what's going to happen, you know what I mean?"

"(Cousins) loves where he's at and I love where I'm at, so whatever we feel like gives us the best opportunity to win - I know what our (team) is here and what I want to do here. And it's something I keep in my mind," Wall added.

Cousins shared Wall's enthusiasm, jokingly saying that he wants Wall and Suns point guard Eric Bledsoe, also a former Kentucky teammate, to join him in Sacramento.

"It's come up," Cousins said when asked if he and Wall were talking about a reunion in the NBA. "Play with John and Eric again, you never know what will happen. It's the NBA, so hopefully one day he'll be in a Sacramento uniform."

Both Cousins and Wall have been mentioned in a lot of trade rumors recently for separate reasons because of the current struggles of their respective teams.

Sportsrageous indicated that the Wizards could offer starting shooting guard Beal and multiple first-round picks to the Kings in exchange for Cousins, which Sacramento could accept as rumors that the club is shopping their franchise center has been swirling around lately.
