A Demarcus Cousins-to-Boston Celtics trade is "very much unrealistic" according to an NBA analyst as the Sacramento Kings are keen on qualifying for the playoffs in April.
CSNNE's Chris Mannix said that at the moment it is "very much unrealistic that Sacramento would deal DeMarcus Cousins to Boston or anywhere" as the Kings are planning to make the playoffs this season, according to Mass Live.

Mannix said that the Kings "just opened a new arena" and owner Vivek Ranadive "believes they can make the playoffs" and that the "only way they can do that is with DeMarcus Cousins on the roster".
Cousins, 26, has been the face of the franchise since he was drafted fifth overall in the 2010 NBA Draft. He has not led Sacramento to any postseason appearances in his six years so far with the club which sparked a lot of trade rumors involving the two-time NBA All-Star center.
Cousins has been linked with Boston since the end of last season, but no discussions between the two teams have yet to take place. However, the recent comments of Celtics small forward Jae Crowder have incited new speculations that Cousins would be dealt to Boston soon.
"He's going to bring the game to you, his physicality," said Crowder, praising Cousins before their meeting last Friday night in Boston. "He's a very physical type guy and if he thinks that you aren't physical at all, he's going to let you know. He approaches the game the right way."
"That's my guy. He's my guy," Crowder added.
Meanwhile, Cousins said that he is not bothered by all the trade rumors linking him to different teams, saying that "most of the rumors come from people who want me on their team", as per ESPN.
"I do appreciate (the trade rumors), but like I said, I'm a King. I'm good," Cousins said.
Cousins is averaging 28.7 points, 10.4 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 1.3 blocks per game in 19 games so far this season.
