For the segment, the singer visited the Ali Forney Center in Brooklyn, New York. She spoke about kindness, love, and encouragement with homeless LGBTQ youth. She shared that during her PTSD suffering, she has been searching for ways to heal herself, and she found out that kindness is the best way.
"But the kindness that's been shown to me by doctors - as well as my family and my friends - it really saved my life," Gaga said.
The singer shared in Today Show that her trauma helped her understand others' experienes. It also reminded her that these children are not just homeless or in need as many of them are trauma survivors and have been rejected in some ways.
Her action shouted out as an encouragement for everybody to show kindness and reminded the homeless youth that they are not alone and that they are loved.
Gaga further explained that she is no better than any other homeless kids and she is no worse than any of them. She believes that they are all equal. The singer affirmed the LGBQT that they are not alone for she is with them.
Meanwhile, you can be part of Gaga's campaign on Share Kindness not just by visiting the foundation in New York but by simple using the hashtag #ShareKindness on Twitter and Instagram.
